George Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman, arrested for perjury (read police report)
On June 13, 2012, George Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman, was arrested for perjury. She is accused of lying to the court regarding the status of the couple's account that collected money for Zimmerman's defense. It is believed the couple had raised approximately $155,000, but when the court asked Shellie Zimmerman in April, during a bond hearing, how much they had raised, she stated she didn't know. Not only were there jailhouse calls recorded that showed they had tried to hide the amount of money, but Shellie Zimmerman transferred large sums of money to her own bank account.
